A Life Interview™ is a personal video biography. It is much more than simply recording you telling us your life events. The finished product is in fact a full feature film that can (and has) been shown in movie theaters. It is very similar to what you might see on the Biography Channel™ in reference to "famous" individuals.
Preserving your family history is perhaps the greatest gift you can leave your future generations. Whether you decide to record special events such as birthdays, weddings, bar-mitzvahs, anniversaries or compile a full biography, recording your life experiences on video will preserve the moment / history in as realistic a manner as is possible.
Our goal at Stadtlander Designs is to capture your special memories and preserve them in a product that you will be proud to share with others and pass along to future generations. Anyone can press the record button on a camcorder and record an event however it takes a company like Stadtlander Designs to do it with style and creativity. We know that your family is the most important thing in your life and, as such we work to ensure that your video reflects your love.
For years, family anecdotes and history have been passed down by word of mouth or by writing down information. Now is your chance to have your life story presented in such a way that your family members will actually be able to see what your life was like and share your experiences through primary sources (photos, interviews, music... )
What character traits makes a person the individual they are? It is the details of one's life, the essence that can’t be reproduced or retold except by those that lived it. These are things that are often lost from generation to generation as details disappear along the way. To preserve these experiences, we interview you and any relatives or close friends to share events you wish to impart on others and along with some pictures (if available) and appropriate music will edit your interview and compile it into a professional grade quality video. The final product will be your event personally created to satisfy your wishes and likes.
We take your life interview™ and turn it into a professional biography. From start to finish your story receives the attention to detail that can only be received from a professional. Your biography will be put on DVD and you can even go as far as having it presented in a real movie theater (local to you of course) so that your entire family can make an event of it. We feel that everyone's life is precious and has it's own unique story to tell. We come to your house (or where ever you feel comfortable) and have a sit down interview. It is not anything you need to prepare for, we have a method of interviewing that makes you feel comfortable telling us your life story. After a couple of minutes with us, you won't even notice that there is a camera there recording you. The interview typically takes anywhere from one to four hours.

We then take the video into post-production where we edit, add photos from your family albums, music as well as news footage from national and regional events that have occurred during your lifetime. Your video is then put on DVD or High Definition tape, depending on your preference and we create a professional DVD jacket (cover) for your finished product. |
When you receive your completed project you will have a professional grade movie of your life, all of your family photos collected throughout your life (if chosen) on DVD along with any other family memorabilia (newspaper clippings, letters, etc.). An heirloom that can be passed down for generations to come. Your great-great-great grandchildren will be able to see and hear first hand what your life was like.
